This beautiful Allosaurus cranium comes courtesy of the Natural History Museum of Utah, UMNH VP C-173.This “different lizard” was discovered in the iconic Cleveland Loyd Dinosaur Quarry, where at least 46 A. fragilis specimens have been found! Scientists have hypothesized that the dinosaurs found in the quarry became mired in mud as they approached a watering hole or possibly a bog.
